To support our customers and meet the aspirations held by the Group, we are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer (fixed-term, 6-9 months) to join our Housing Team.

The successful candidate will have a professional Housing-related qualification, at least CIH Level 4 or equivalent and professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing, or similar or a comparable level of experience in a similar environment. In addition, they will also be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of:

  • Managing workload of all housing management activities including but not limited to tenancy and estate management, dealing with tenancy disputes, anti-social behaviour, tenant participation, allocations and debt control
  • Assisting with identifying support service requirements, effective tenant participation and providing a professional support referral and advice service  
  • Working to set standards, frameworks, performance measures and protocols for housing and support, ensuring efficient and effective implementation
  • Conducting pre-let interviews and accompanied viewings and sign-ups for properties, including support for the completion of welfare benefit forms where necessary
  • Ensuring new tenants are provided with and understand full information concerning their tenancy agreement
  • Dealing with tenant disputes, breaches of tenancy conditions and anti-social problems
  • Working alongside Debt Recovery Officers to support the income management processes
  • Establishing good and effective external working relationships with partners and external stakeholders and representing the organisation to appropriate regulatory bodies, other RSLs, developers, partners and contractors

A full driving licence is essential for this role.
