Housing Assistant - 10 months fixed term

We are looking for a Housing Assistant on a 10-months fixed-term to join our Housing Team.

The successful candidate will ideally have an HNC in Administration, Housing Administration or an equivalent qualification, although this is not essential.

You should have knowledge and experience of the following:

  • Supporting the Housing Manager and Housing team with a wide range of administrative tasks. These include taking payments, witnessing documents, delivering letters, raising purchase orders and getting quotes
  • Meeting with tenants, including some visits to their homes
  • Helping to reduce the number of empty properties by supporting the lettings process, including attending property viewings and completing tenancy sign-ups
  • Preparing performance reports and analysing data
  • Monitoring rent and rechargeable accounts, alongside the Debt Recovery Officer and Housing Officer, and providing front-line advice
  • Supporting the Housing Manager with safeguarding duties, including collecting data and monitoring performance
  • A full driving licence and access to a car with business insurance
